Troubleshooting

I see everything but the map. What happened?

Try recentering the map. Maybe you have zoomed too far in or too far off the map.

Occationally the GIS Division must take a map down for routine maintenance. If the map continually does not load try waiting an hour. If the map is still not appearing please contact the GIS Division.

Error messages

When searching for a location nothing is returned

The web application has a sophisticated search engine, but occationally it simply cannot find a location. Please check your spelling. If you are confident in your spelling another source of errors is punctuation. Searches work best without any punctuation except when searching street intersection.

Not enough stops to solve route

The routing engine must have at least 2 stops (a beginning and an end) to generate a route. Try adding more stops before getting the route.

Route will not solve

Special circumstances make it impossible for a route to solve.

Routing engine is down

Occationally the GIS Division must take down the routing engine web service for routine maintenance. Try waiting an hour. If the routing engine is still unavailable please contact the GIS Division.
