Search By: Address

Select this method to find an address in the City's database. Simply enter as much of the Address as you know.
For Example: If you are searching for "144 Tichenor Av", Enter "144 Tich" then click the "Go" button.
Note: This search is not case sensitive. Entering as much of the address as possible will reduce the number of records returned by the search.


Search By: Owner
Select this method to find a Parcel via either the "Property Owner's Name" OR the "Previous Owner's Name".
Simply enter as much of the "Owner's Name" or "Previous Owner's Name" as you know. Then click the "Go" button.
For Example: Searching for "smith" will return all owners (past or present) named "Smith".
Note: This search is not case sensitive and requires only a portion of the correct "Owner Name". To view the results of the search the "Parcels" layer must be visible.


Search By: Parcel
Select this method to find a Parcel using the 16-digit county "Parcel ID". Simply enter a valid "Parcel ID". Then click the "Go" button.
For Example: "0806244000103001"

Note: If "0" records are returned, parcel could not be found in the database. Check the number and try again.


Search By: Street
Select this method to find street segments by "Street Name". Simply enter as much of the street name as you know, and select "GO".
For Example: If you are searching for "North College Street", enter "college". Then click the "Go" button.
Note: This search is not case sensitive but if using a Directional or Street Type use the standard abbriviations below.

Search By: Subdivision
Select this method to find a subdivision. Simply enter the first few letters of the "Subdivision Name"; then click the "Go" button.
For Example: Searching for "grove" will return all "Grove Hill" subdivisions.
Note: This search is not case sensitive and requires only a portion of the correct "Subdivision Name". To view the results of the search the "Subdivisions" layer must be visible.


Map Tools:


Toggle Legend: Select this button to toggle between the "Table of Contents" and the "Map Legend".
 
Toggle Overview Map: Select this button to hide/show the "Overview Map Window".
 
Zoom In Select this tool then click-and-drag a rectangle on the "Map Window" to zoom in.
 
Zoom Out Select this tool then click-and-drag a rectangle on the "Map Window" to zoom out.
 
Zoom To Full Extent: Select this button to reset the "Map Window" to include the entire Auburn area.
 
Zoom To Previous Select this button to return the "Map Window" to the previous extent.
 
Pan Select this tool to click-hold-and-drag the focus of the "Map Window" to a new location:
 
Identify Get information about features in the active layer, Simply select this tool and click on a feature.
 
Measure Measure distances in the "Map Window".
 
Set Units Select this button to change the units in the "Map Window".
 
Select Features Use this tool to click-and-drag a rectangle on the map to select features from the active layer.
 
Clear Selection Click this button to clear all selected features from the map.
 
Print Create a "Printer Friendly" version of the current map.
Internet Explorer Printer Settings: Select "Page Setup..." from the "File" menu. Change the "Orientation" to "Landscape" and set all of the "Margins" to 0.5" (inches).
